1839/46 WHEEL HAT

the 1839/46 (type II) wheel hat was developed at the being of the Mexican American war as a fill gap for the 1839 wheel hat. Improvements where needed because of the heat and sun of Mexico, so the crown padding was deleted and the vizor was more horizontal to help protect the face form the Mexican sun.
