1839/58 WHEEL HAT

The 1839/58 hat (type III) was designed for U.S. troops being sent to the Northwest Pacific " Washington Territory ". basically the same as the 1839/47 wheel hat, except no chain strap and no buttons. the flap was held up by a hook and eye and the ribbon as shown on the previous hats.
